Terms of Service

These terms apply when you engage Atelier Vitae, a sole-proprietor career-writing studio operated by Raghav from Longowal, Punjab, India. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If any of it seems unfair, say so before you begin and we will discuss it.
1. What we provide
Writing and editorial services for career documents: resumes, curriculum vitae, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, statements of purpose, personal statements and professional bios. Each project includes a one-to-one discovery call and original writing produced for you.
We are a writing studio. We are not a recruitment agency, a placement service, an immigration adviser or a legal adviser, and we do not represent you to employers.
2. What we do not promise
We do not guarantee interviews, offers, admissions, visas or employment of any kind. Those outcomes depend on vacancies, timing, market conditions and fit, none of which any writer controls. We also make no claim that any document will be accepted by any particular applicant tracking system, since those systems differ and are not published. What we undertake is craft: original writing, a structure and file format built to be read accurately by both people and software, and revision until you are confident in it.
3. Fees and payment
Current rates are published on our home page and confirmed in writing before work begins. Founding Client rates are limited in number and, once taken, are not reopened. Offers do not stack.
- Founding Clients one to three: you read the finished document, sit with it for forty-eight hours, and pay only if you genuinely believe it is better than what you had. If not, you keep the draft, pay nothing, and tell us where we went wrong.
- From the fourth client onward: a 50% advance confirms your slot, with the balance due on delivery of the first draft.
- Priority delivery is charged as published: 48-hour turnaround at +50%, and 24-hour turnaround at +100% where available.
- Fees are in Indian rupees. Payment is by UPI or bank transfer unless agreed otherwise.
4. What we need from you
Your current document if you have one, one or two target job postings, your LinkedIn URL, and honest participation in the discovery call. We write from what you tell us. We will not invent qualifications, employment, dates, publications or achievements, and we will decline to include anything we believe to be untrue. You confirm that the information you give us is accurate and yours to share, and you remain responsible for the accuracy of the finished document.
5. Timelines
First drafts normally reach you within three to four working days of the discovery call, and faster where priority delivery has been purchased. Timelines run from the call, not from payment, and depend on your responsiveness. If we are going to be late, we will tell you before the deadline rather than after it.
6. Revisions and re-angles
Two rounds of revision are included within ten days of delivery. A revision means refining what we wrote toward the target we agreed. A change of target — a different role, industry or country — is a re-angle rather than a revision, and is quoted separately so that you never pay full price twice. Additional revision rounds beyond the included two are quoted before any work begins. We charge for scope, never for dissatisfaction.
7. Delivery and ownership
Documents are delivered as PDF for review. Editable source files are released once payment is complete. On full payment, the finished document is yours: you own it outright and may use, adapt and share it however you wish. Until payment is complete, copyright in the draft remains with Atelier Vitae. Our own templates, frameworks, question sets and internal methods remain ours.
8. Confidentiality
Nothing you share is published. Portfolio samples and before-and-afters are used only with your written permission and are always fully anonymised. You may withdraw that permission at any time and we will remove the sample.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel before the discovery call at no cost, and any advance is refunded in full. If you cancel after the call but before the first draft, we retain 50% of the advance to cover the time already spent. Once the first draft is delivered, the fee is payable in full, subject to the Founding Client terms in section 3. We may decline or end a project — refunding anything unearned — if we are asked to write something we believe to be false, if conduct is abusive, or if we conclude we cannot do the work well.
10. Liability
Our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees you paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost opportunities, lost earnings or rejected applications. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Sangrur, Punjab have jurisdiction. Before any of that, please write to us — almost everything is resolved in a conversation.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your project is the version in force when your project was confirmed in writing.
